What goes around: Sushi Rev

Sushi Rev at The Market Place is “all about the REVolution.” A conveyor belt delivers a constant flow of handcrafted sushi, rolls and Izakaya sides to your table. It’s traditional sushi with modern technology in inviting contemporary surroundings.
Offerings go beyond tuna, salmon or yellowtail nigiri to 30 styles, including yuzu tuna, truffle seaweed salmon, yellowtail jalapeno, garlic mackerel and strawberry eel.
A dozen rolls include the Hawaiian Harmony with mixed fish and avocado and the Rose Roll with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura.
Among the Izakaya selections, most of them fried or steamed, is organic agedashi tofu. Five flavored carpaccios include Japanese scallops.
In all cases, the fish is generously sliced and the dishes are reasonably priced.
Many items automatically make the conveyor-belt rounds on the assumption that once diners see them, they’ll want them. Those items all run $3.75, generally for two pieces.
But you can order any menu item any time, and it will be delivered straight to your table via a second higher belt. The most expensive dish is yellowtail collar with sea salt, $8.75.
Among the restaurant’s mottos: “Just making the world go round and round and round … till we find our way to you.”
