New La La Land cafe open at Irvine Spectrum Center

The stated mission at La La Land Cafe at Irvine Spectrum Center?
Spread yellow.
At La La Land, which is best known for its cloud-topped beverages, yellow means warmth, kindness and showing up with joy.
Spreading yellow means helping foster youth, people with special needs, animals at a shelter and team members in need. The cafe assists those transitioning out of the foster care system with internships that can lead to a full-time job. The yellow-hued cups are symbolic.
The name La La Land suggests a place that’s dreamy, lighter and more hopeful.
The cafe offers traditional coffee and matcha lattes but also specialty drinks such as the iced banana cloud latte, made with fresh bananas, vanilla bean, espresso or ceremonial matcha, secret sauce and cinnamon. Its cloud is a fluffy, sweet cold foam, the secret sauce creamy and slightly spiced.
There’s a caffeine-free mango passionfruit cooler. Teas include iced white Himalayan. The hot or iced Lululemon chai latte is infused with saffron and vanilla bean.
Among avocado toasts are a truffle burrata version and The Queen, with cream cheese, everything seasoning, chili flakes and lemon zest. Breakfast/lunch options also include a spinach feta egg wrap and a pesto provolone sandwich.
Irvine marks the cafe’s 25th location.
