The city of Irvine and South Coast Chinese Cultural Center will present the fifth annual Mid-Autumn Festival at Great Park from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 26. The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is one of the most celebrated holidays in East and Southeast Asia. Traditionally held under the full moon, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and gather with loved ones.
At Great Park, visitors can enjoy cultural displays, live entertainment, crafts, artistic demonstrations and specialty food trucks. Local organizations will also share educational exhibits and resources, offering residents a family-friendly evening that highlights Irvine’s cultural diversity.
