Culinary Celebration: Taste of Irvine

Top restaurants, libation purveyors and community come together for the second annual Taste of Irvine on April 16. Stars of the event include Irvine Spectrum Center restaurants Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao, “soul-delicious” Georgia’s and new Hijinx Hotel/Holey Moley Golf Club. Also included will be fine-dining destination Warehouse 72 at Irvine Marriott Spectrum; Floe Lounge and YNK speakeasy at Irvine Marriott Airport; Mexican magnet Puesto at Los Olivos Marketplace; American eatery Lazy Dog and artisan bakery-café Pandor at The Market Place; Herb & Ranch food hall at UCI Research Park; and new Ubatuba Açai at University Park Center.
Curated cocktail samples, craft beer and wine will be available. Among the beverage partners are Patrón tequila, WhistlePig whiskey, Grey Goose vodka and Ford’s gin.
The event – taking place at The Park at Lakeshore and spearheaded by restaurateurs John Reed and Leslie Nguyen of Daily Dose Hospitality – celebrates the diverse culinary talent that defines the city. General admission ($65) brings unlimited tastings, live entertainment and activations, with entry starting at 6 p.m. VIP admission ($95) adds a gift bag with swag and dining gift cards plus early admission at 5 p.m. For tickets, visit eventbrite.com.
