Asian American day fare: Kinaree Eatery at Quail Hill

American comfort food and Thai flavors are the winning combination at new Kinaree Eatery, offering a fresh take on breakfast, brunch and lunch at Quail Hill Shopping Center.
Decor includes an elaborate mural featuring historically garbed Thai women, several flying through the air on magic carpets. Copious flowers cover another wall panel and hang from the ceiling.
The Soufflé Bacon & Egg features aptly named “cloud” pancakes. Benedicts include one with lobster and another with marinated rib-eye. Among omelets are the standout Holy Chili Bomb Basil with ground chicken as well as a vegetarian style starring tofu. The Kinaree chicken waffle pairs Thai fried chicken and a Belgian waffle.
An entire menu page is devoted to chef’s picks, such as the Mama Creamy Tomyum Hotpot.
Among the most popular dishes are Northern Thai specialties such as Khao Soi – a curry with chicken, beef or soft-shell crab – and elaborate Sai Oua with Thai sausage and sticky rice. Street-food-style chicken arrives with cucumber salad. Find Thai Tea Crème Brulee under the menu heading Sweet Tooth.
On the drinks list: hot ginger and the refreshing and colorful butterfly yuzu.
